Box Score LEBANON, Tenn. – The Fire's men's team loss to No. 14 Cumberland University 7-2 overall. The Fire move to 11 wins and six losses on the season.
In doubles competition, the Fire sustained two of three wins.
The No. 2 duo,
Thomas Ortega and
Felipe Barbosa earned the first victory of the day for Southeastern, defeating the Phoenix's second best 9-7.
Hugo Pires and
Enrique Martinez were successful at No. 3 doubles, beating Cumberland foes 8-3.
Unfortunately SEU couldn't keep up with the No. 14 ranked Cumberland in singles play as the Phoenix earned a total of six points on the day.
The Fire will finish the journey in Tennessee tomorrow (03/23) as they take on Milligan College. The matches are set to begin at 2:00 p.m.
