Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. – The Fire women's team earned another victory on the season, defeating RV Southwestern College 8-1. This victory marks the Fire's fourth consecutive win.
Southeastern went 2-1 overall in doubles play.
Sharienne Ricardo and
Beatrice Letizia earned the first victory for the Fire, defeating the Moundbuilders best 8-3. At No. 3 doubles,
Priscila Baptista and
Mia Dunagan earned another win for SEU, beating SWC foes 8-4.
In singles competition, SEU dominated their competition, going undefeated.
Ricardo beat SWC's best 6-2 in the first set and 6-4 in the second set. Freshman, Letizia swept Moundbuilders opponent 6-0 in two sets.
At No. 3 singles,
Angelique Myrtil earned a win for the Fire, defeating her rival in two sets (6-2, 6-3). Brazilian-native, Baptista didn't give up one point in the first set, and then finished the match with a 6-2 victory in the second set at No. 4 singles.
Gabby Marshall took command in her match, winning both sets 7-5. To finish the day for Southeastern, Dunagan beat SWC foe 6-1 in both sets.
Southeastern will take the courts on March 21
st, as they go on the road to take on Bethel University (Tenn.) at 1:00 p.m.
