LAKELAND, Fla.- The No. 2 Southeastern University women's basketball team is set to continue Sun Conference play. The Fire opened up TSC play last Saturday at home with a resounding 105-50 win over the St. Thomas University Bobcats. SEU now heads to The Peach State to take on Coastal Georgia and Thomas in a pair of Sun Conference contests.

- Junior forward Taylah Simmons set a single-game program record for points scored with 35 points totaled against STU. Simmons earned Sun Conference Player of the Week distinction for her performance.
- Simmons is averaging a team-best 21 points per game this season and is shooting 55.4% (51-92) from the interior.
- The Fire shot an impressive 60.6% (40-66) from the field against the Bobcats.
- SEU also scored 34 points of 23 St. Thomas turnovers. The Fire are averaging 25.5 points scored off of an average of 22 turnovers forced per game this season.
- Sophomore guard Raegan Linster has shot 42.9% (12-28) from three-point range over her last three contests.

THE MARINERS:
- Coastal Georgia returned just two of their five starters from last season's Sun Conference Tournament Runners-Up squad.
- CCG earned a 83-55 win over Thomas in its Sun Conference opener last Saturday.
- Junior center Quira Porter has successfully stepped into the starting rotation for the Mariners after appearing in 32 contests off the bench last season, averaging a team-leading 12.2 points per game and 5.4 rebounds per contest.
- Junior guard Solrun Gisladottir is shooting 40% (12-30) from three-point range to start off the season.
THE NIGHT HAWKS:
- Thomas is looking to get into the win column for the first time this season after a 10-19 2018-19 campaign in which they finished seventh in The Sun Conference.
- The Night Hawks have yet to exceed 65 points scored in a contest this season.
- Senior guard Samantha Gilbert has been an offensive catalyst for TU thus far, averaging 16 points per game.
- The Night Hawks have been out-rebounded on average 40-25.5 boards per contest.
