VALDOSTA, Ga.—The Southeastern University women's golf team had a solid showing, placing second at the Thomas University Fall Invitational at Kinderlou.
The Fire had the second-best round of the day in Round 2 with a score of 312, just two strokes off of first-place Dalton State. The Roadrunners opened the tournament with a score of 299, compared to SEU at 320 in the first.
Sophomore
Brianna Farrell led the way on the individual leaderboard with a tie for fifth. Se had the low round of the day on the roster in the first round at 75, and closed with a 77.
Valentina Espinosa had the low round of the tournament for the Fire in the second round, posting a 1-over 73, and tied for fifth with a total of 154.
Ana Uribe followed in a tie for 14
th, scoring 79 and 81.
Brooke Wetzel was in a tie for 24
th with rounds of 86 and 81, and was followed by
Annalee Barnett in 26
th with a total of 168 (85-83).
The Fire return to action on October 20
th at the Dalton State Roadrunner Invitational.
