Box Score ORLANDO, Fla.—The women's tennis team fell to Loyola University (La.) in Orlando by a score of 8-0 on Monday.
Each of the Fire doubles pairings lost their matchups by 8-1 tallies to the Wolfpack, as Southeastern went down 3-0 to start the contest. The deficit proved to be fatal as SEU failed to rally in singles competition.
Sophomore
Michelle Doan won a team-high seven games at no. 5 singles, while senior
Sydni Brookhouser took five from her opponent in an unfinished match at no. 6. Brookhouser dropped the first frame, but led 4-1 in the second before the contest was called.
Loyola ultimately clinched an 8-0 victory with five individual wins.
The Fire will be back in action for Senior Day on Wednesday versus Warner. Matches are scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. at Edgewood Tennis Center.
