JAYCEE THREE: Junior shooting guard
Jaycee Coe turned in an electric week of shooting from behind the arc. Coe registered back to back games with six three pointers made, shooting 60% from behind the arc (12-20). The Gainesboro, Tenn. native ranks 20
th in NAIA Division II in three point field goals made per game (2.95), having successfully converted multiple three pointers in 14 consecutive contests. Coe ranks second in The Sun Conference in total shots made behind the arc, with 59 on the season.
FIRING AWAY ON ALL CYLINDERS: SEU sits atop NAIA DII in both team field goal percentage (0.521) and field goal percentage defense (0.311). The third quarter has been the most productive for the Fire on the offensive glass, averaging 22.6 points in the period over their last five contests. Defensively, the Southeastern pressure has baffled opposing scorers, especially down the stretch of games. Over the last five games, the Fire have held opponents to 28.1% shooting from the field (47-167), including 22.3% from behind the arc (17-70).
FIRE ALL-TIME: The all-time series between Southeastern and Keiser is evened up at 9-9, while the Fire lead the rivalry with Johnson & Wales 21-3. Senior guard
Ana Richter had 25 points in each earlier contest this season versus the Seahawks and the Wildcats.
THE SEAHAWKS: Keiser recently brought a halt to a 15 game skid with a 59-58 win at Thomas, whom KU earned its only other TSC win against this season. The Seahawks have simply struggled to find the inside of the rim this year, averaging 59.46 points per contest, placing them at the bottom of the conference. Keiser will look to ride the hot hand of junior shooting guard Donivan Dyson, who has 20 or more points scored in three of her last four games. Dyson leads the Seahawks in points per game (13.4) and steals (43).
THE WILDCATS: After riding a seven game losing streak, Johnson & Wales has rattled off four of its last five to propel the Wildcats back into the TSC Tournament conversation. Senior point guard Diamond Williams has elevated her play, averaging 18.4 points over her last five after averaging just 11.9 during the winless stretch
. JWU features five different players who average double digits each contest. This includes freshman forward Tianna Ayulo, who averages a team best 17.2 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
