Box Score LAKELAND, Fla.—Tied at three, the Fire went to doubles play needing two points.
They did a little better than that.
Southeastern swept doubles play to knock off Missouri Baptist 6-3 and pick up a win over a team that made the national tournament last year.
Emily Acierno and
Madeline Wills scored an 8-2 win at #2 Doubles, as did
Melanie Dodd and
Morgan Logue at #3 Doubles.
The middle part of the lineup was huge in singles play with
Sharienne Ricardo, Wills, and Dodd picking up the three singles points at #3-#5.
The Fire return to action on Thursday against West Chester University.
