Box Score ATLANTA, Ga.—The Southeastern men's tennis team came away with an upset win over SCAD-Atlanta by the count of 6-3 Saturday afternoon.
SCAD is receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25.
The Fire controlled two of the three doubles matches, winning at #1 8-4 behind
David Veliz & Hugo Pires, and won 8-5 with Tomas Ortega and
Felipe Barbosa.
Southeastern was dominant in singles play, even with a rare loss by
David Veliz at the top of the lineup. The Fire won the other five singles matches, dropping just two total sets. Tomas Ortega scored a 7-6, 6-4 win, taking a first-set tiebreaker 7-3.
The Fire return to action next Saturday against St. Thomas.
