Men’s Tennis Taking on County Rival in TSC Semifinal

KEY BISCAYNE, Fla.—For a second year in a row, the Southeastern University men's tennis team is heading to The Sun Conference Tournament.
 
Following a third place finish in the regular season standings, the Fire will head to Crandon Park to take on Warner University with the winner heading to the championship match on Friday.
 
The Fire were 9-3 in the regular season, posting a 4-2 record in conference play.
 
SEU faces the Royals in the second semifinal of the day, starting at approximately 1:30 p.m. The two teams faced off on February 23rd with the Royals picking up a 6-3 win.
 
Warner comes in with an 8-3 record on the season, and are currently ranked 22nd in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The tandem of Rafael A. Coutinho and Rafael E. Coutinho are 13-0 at #1 doubles this season, and are ranked 13th in the NAIA ITA Men's Doubles ranking. Rafael A. is a perfect 13-0 at #1 singles, and is ranked 16th in the nation as a freshman.
 
In doubles play, Southeastern's #1 tandem of Jordan Harris and Max Nguyen have gone 8-3 and the #2 duo of Lucca Marcheschi and Andrew Dickens are 8-4. Dickens has also posted an 8-4 mark, playing mostly at #4 singles.
 
The winner moves on to take on either Keiser or SCAD-Savannah in the championship at 10 a.m. Friday.
