Box Score LAKELAND, Fla.—An upset win at #1 doubles wasn't enough to propel Southeastern to a win of NAIA No. 11 Keiser in its final Sun Conference match of the year.
The Fire were defeated 8-1, closing the year with a 3-3 league record.
Emily Acierno and
Alexis Quinn defeated ITA No. 13 Teodora Stanciu and Lola Garcia 8-6 at #1 doubles for SEU's only point.
Quinn gave Laura Ortega a challenge at #1 singles, forcing a third set, which was won by Orgega 10-3. The other five singles matches were decided in straight sets.
The Fire will face Embry-Riddle in a non-conference match on April 7
th.
