Box Score LAKELAND, Fla.—The Fire men's tennis team came away with a big Sun Conference win over St. Thomas, notching a 6-3 win to move to 4-1 in conference play.
The Fire dropped tight matches at #2 doubles (9-8 7-2) and #3 doubles (9-7) and trailed 2-1 heading to singles play. It was there that the Fire took control of the match, winning five of the six matches.
Jordan Harris, Max Nguyen, Drew Dickens, and
Hunter Branstner all won in straight sets, and
Noah Rawls had to battle back after a second set loss to win 6-2, 5-7, 6-4.
The Fire will host Keiser a week from Saturday in their Sun Conference finale.
