Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla.—The Fire women's tennis team moved to 2-1 on the season with a convincing shutout victory over Webber International.
The Fire were dominant in singles play, with
Emily Acierno,
Madeline Wills, and
Melanie Dodd winning 6-0, 6-0.
"We played a tremendous match, surrendering only three total games," said coach
Bill May of SEU's singles play.
Acierno teamed with
Alexis Quinn to score an 8-0 victory at #1 doubles as well.
The Fire return to action on Saturday at 10 a.m. for an exhibition match with Eckerd at the Edgewood Tennis Courts.
