Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.—Trailing 2-0 after doubles, the Fire women's tennis team rallied to go 4-2 in singles to claim its first win over St. Thomas in program history, 5-4.
Freshman twins Alaina and Savannah Ewing won a tiebreaker 7-4 at #3 doubles to give SEU its only doubles point. Alain also came away with the deciding point of the match at #6 singles. After taking the first set 6-3, Ewing dropped the second 6-7, losing a tiebreaker, but won the third set 6-3 to give the Fire the win.
Southeastern returns to the courts on Tuesday when they host Union College at 12 p.m.
