Box Score SAVANNAH, Ga.- The Fire came up just one point away from an upset over #19 Savannah College of Art and Design in their first Sun Conference match of the season. Southeastern won at #1 doubles 8-4, lost at #2 doubles 8-0, but had two match points at #3 doubles, but were unable to close them out. Each side won three singles matches, giving the Bees a 5-4 win. "We played tremendously today," said coach Bill May. "It was a dogfight all the way through, playing a lot of three-set singles matches, and some close two-set matches."
