LAKELAND, Fla.- Southeastern University senior golfer Kyle Martin received one of 11 individual qualifying bids to the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship held May 13th through 16th at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The Plant City native was selected by the national championship tournament committee and the at-large individual to fill out the field of 156 golfers. He participated at last year's championship after the Fire won The Sun Conference championship.
Martin won medalist honors at the Thomas Winter Invitational as well as the Titan Winter Invitational, where he set a school and course record score of 62.
When the Fire participated in Embry-Riddle's "Bash at the Beach" Invitational April 4th through 6th at LPGA, Martin shot a 77 in the first round and 76 in the second round at the Par 72, 6,858 yard course.
