PALM HARBOR, Fla. — Southeastern men's golf finished 10th at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club, carding a three-round total of 43-over 895 at the Copperhead Course.
The Fire opened the tournament with a 12-over 296 in the first round before posting a 15-over 299 in the second round. SEU closed the tournament with a 16-over 300 in the final round to finish at 43-over for the tournament.
Marley Read and
Etienne Bocquillon led the Fire, both finishing at 10-over 223. Read opened with a 73 and finished with another 73 in the final round, making seven birdies across the tournament. Bocquillon also posted a 73 in the opening round before rounds of 75 and 75, finishing with six birdies.
Max Porteous finished at 12-over 225 after rounds of 74, 76 and 75. Porteous stayed consistent throughout the tournament, picking up four birdies along the way.
Scott Starbuck finished at 13-over 226 after rounds of 76, 71 and 79. Starbuck's second-round 71 marked the Fire's lowest individual round of the tournament, and he finished with four birdies and one eagle.
Gray Ottman rounded out the Fire lineup at 21-over 234 after shooting rounds of 78, 79 and 77. Ottman battled through the three rounds while contributing four birdies to the Fire's overall total.
Keiser won the tournament at 9-over, followed by Reinhardt at 17-over and Coastal Georgia at 26-over. SEU finished 10th among the 20-team field.
The Fire will return to action on October 25
th as they host the SEU Invite at Grasslands Golf Course.
