Pooler, Ga. – Gabriel Gomez shot 215 (74-73-68) to finish in third place overall, and lead the Fire to a fourth place finish at the Sun Conference Championships Tuesday afternoon.
The Fire shot 883 (299-296-288) to finish 13 shots behind tournament champion, Thomas University.
J.D. Cobb also earned a top ten finish by shooting 217 (71-73-73), which put him in eighth place overall.
Kyle Martin, who was named to the all-conference team following the tournament, shot 225 (79-76-70) to finish in 26th place.
Frederic Thiriez and William Williams shot 229 and 230 respectively to finish in 35th and 38th places. Thiriez shot 75-77-77, while Williams shot 79-74-77.
