Men’s Tennis Nearly Upsets Walsh

Box Score The Fire men's tennis team fell just short of their upset of D-II Walsh University, falling by the narrow final score of 4-5.   The Fire were led by the upper half of their line-up, winning at #1, #2, and #3 singles, but falling at #4, #5, and #6 singles.  The same was true in the doubles matches, as Southeastern won at #1 doubles, but falling short at #2 and #3 doubles.  However, the Fire had their chances a victory as the #2 doubles team of Andrew Dickens and Luke Witte nearly pulled out a tough match, but fell in a very narrow 8-6 loss.  Also, Forrest Saunders (#6) singles jumped out to a set lead, winning 6-1, but ultimately fell in three-sets in a very close match.
