Box Score DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.--The Southeastern University women's tennis team stumbled in conference play for the first time this season, falling to No. 3 ranked Embry-Riddle University, 9-0. It was the Lady Fire's first conference loss of the season, as they are now 2-1 on the year in conference play.
The Fire's No. 3 doubles team of Lexus Potts and Heather Ericksen were able to battle to an 8-2 loss. Teams of Chelsey Lynn/Wendy Reade and Kristina Wisor/Stephanie Dodd lost their matches, 8-0.
In singles, Fire co-captain Wendy Reade played a very strong 1st set before falling 6-2, then losing her 2nd set 6-0 to Josefine Strom. Wisor, Dodd, Potts, and Heather Ericksen were all able to win games in their matches.Â
Southeastern is now 2-2 overall and will take on No. 8 SCAD, Saturday morning, on a neutral court in Daytona Beach.
