LAKELAND, Fla. -- SEU delivered a complete offensive performance on Saturday afternoon, overpowering Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) 104–77 inside The Furnace to improve to 8–1 on the year. The Fire topped the 100-point mark for the third time this season and shot a blistering 58.2 percent from the floor while placing five players in double figures.
SEU set the tone immediately behind a balanced and efficient starting unit.
Anthony Kangah led the Fire with 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting, drilling five threes and adding six rebounds, a block, and a steal.
Mylo Santos continued his strong stretch with 17 points and a game-high five assists while connecting on 7-of-10 from the field.
Nathan Mikkelson controlled the paint with 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting and nine rebounds, while
Daivion Traylor poured in 15 points on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting day.
Daniel Sohn rounded out the double-figure group with 13 points, three steals, and four boards off the bench.
Southeastern's depth still made a sizable impact.
Jarin Edwards added eight points and seven rebounds, and
Jayson Nixon contributed eight points and five assists as the Fire's rotation continued to apply pressure throughout all 40 minutes.
LaDavian King provided five points, four rebounds, and four assists, pushing SEU's total bench production to 29 points.
Offensively, the Fire were in rhythm from the opening tip. SEU shot 61.8 percent in the first half and hit 6-of-9 from deep to take a 57–47 lead into halftime. The second half brought more separation as Southeastern extended its margin to 29 behind efficient shot-making, decisive ball movement, and a 19–9 edge in points off turnovers. SEU also dominated on the glass with a 42–37 advantage and held Embry-Riddle to just 39.7 percent shooting overall.
Defensively, the Fire recorded nine steals and seven blocks while limiting the Eagles to 1-for-9 from three-point range after the break. SEU also posted a 12–0 advantage in second-chance points, capitalizing on extra possessions and maintaining pressure around the rim. The Fire outscored ERAU 38–28 in the paint, further showcasing their interior control.
SEU returns to action on Thursday, December 4, hosting Beacon College at 7 p.m. inside The Furnace as the Fire look to continue their early-season surge and build on their 8–1 start.
