Fire Record Nine Qualifying Results at RADD Sports College Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Southeastern University recorded nine men's and women's indoor track and field national qualifying performances at the RADD Sports College Invitational today.

Davien Wood and James Williamson III continued their top-flight running and have the standards to show for it. The two Fire runners both blazed to National Qualifier 'A' times with Wood winning the 200-meters in 21.43 seconds and Williamson right behind at 21.52. Williamson teamed up with Joseph Taylor, Philip Clarke and Davien Worrels for first place and an 'A' Standard finish of 3:16.08 in the 4x400-meter relay. Woods ran his way to second in the 600-meter run in 1:19.50, which met the 'B' Standard.

T.J. Sanders dominated the field for SEU in the 3000 Race Walk, finishing in first place with an 'A' Standard time of 14:14.84. His teammate Kodi Quimby crossed the line in second for a 'B' Standard in 15:57.98.

In field events, Kevin Parker vaulted to third and was the final National Qualifier with a height of 4.75 meters for a 'B' Standard.

For the women, Ashlyn Poulin shattered the 'A' Standard mark by 1:29 with her time of 15:01.47 in the 3,000-meter race walk to finish in first place. Marlee Irvin joined her in the 'A' Standard with a time of 16:14.10. Joselynn Rivera and Tiarra Jackson also garnered fourth (17:49.52) and fifth (20:04.46) for the event.

Grace Felder was the top non-NCAA D1 finisher and captured second in a time of 3:07.56. Maci Mills grabbed sixth for the 600-meter run in 1:37.48 and only .80 from the 'B' Standard time.

In the field events, MarieAnge Moussignae had the other top SEU finish with a second in the shot put with a throw of 11.84 meters. She also was fourth in the weight throw at 14.49 meters.

Alyssa Morley was in the top six for three different events. She was fourth in the long jump (5.35m), fifth in the high jump (1.55m) and sixth in the triple jump (10.95m).

Aubrey Sellers added a fifth place finish in the pole vault (3.05m) and Allison Craig fired off a 10.94 meters toss in the shot put to finish in sixth.

Along with the top 4x400-meter relay, SEU's 'B' team – Zakaiel Crawford, Kevin Davis Jr., Jacoreyus Demps and Keylon Leno – teamed up for third in the event in 3:23.68.

Taylor captured fourth (49.31) in the 400 meters to go with his part of the winning 4x400-meter relay. Ethan Campbell and Jeremy Durbin were back-to-back for fourth (2:35.75) and fifth (2:39.81) in the 1000-meters.

After Wood and Williamson in the 200 meters, Cameron Alamia ran for fifth in 21.99 and Taylor seventh (22.02).

Corey Rand led the SEU men's field performers with a fifth in the weight throw (14.14m) and ninth in the shot put (12.51m).

SEU heads back to Gainesville next weekend for The Legends of Alachua County Invitational event Friday and Saturday.
