Straight out of their senior seasons at Southeastern,
Robb Adams,
Gary Lora, and
Chayce Bryant have signed contracts to play in the MLB affiliate league, the Pioneer League.
Adams dominated from the mound in his three years with the Fire. Finishing his collegiate career with a 2.72 ERA, and second in the school's history in strikeouts with 325, just one of two pitchers ever to crack 300 strikeouts at Southeastern.
Adams made his first appearance for the Pioneer League's Northern Colorado Owlz in a one inning appearance on June 12 where he recorded one strikeout. In the next five games he saw time in he started with his best performance so far coming in a five inning outing against the Oakland Ballers. This contest Adams outperformed all batters he saw with six strikeouts and only two hits allowed in a 15-1 victory.
Lora signed a contract with the Billings Mustang after his final year as a Fire athlete. While with Southeastern, Lora played at first base, and the righty caused issues for opposing pitchers while up to bat. He hit .364 over his three seasons, with an added 190 RBIs and a slugging percentage of .651 thanks to 240 hits. In his final year, he set the school record for career home runs with 48.
In his first game with the Mustangs on July 4, Lora went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and two runs scored in a 15-2 win. Three games later he went 4-for-4 with two doubles and a walk in a 9-8 win.
Bryant penned a deal with the Grand Junction Jackalopes. In his two seasons at Southeastern he batted .351 with 104 hits, 93 RBIs, and a .703 slugging percentage, in his inaugural year for the Fire he notched 23 home runs.
He made his first appearance for the Jackalopes on July 4, and has seen eight plate appearances.
Over their careers these three athletes combined 169 total wins, and over that period of time lost only 20 times. Between them there are three NAIA World Series appearances, a NAIA World Series ring, and three Sun Conference Tournament and Regular Season Championships.
