Final Four Games Remain For Baseball

LAKELAND, Fla.- With a regular season Sun Conference champion title secured, Southeastern 
baseball will make its way to West Palm Beach for one final regular season matchup, versus the Keiser University Seahawks.

Coming off a four game sweep of the St. Thomas Bobcats, and securing the #1 seed in the Sun Conference tournament, the Fire have propelled themselves to a 41-5 (19-1 SUN) record with one more conference series left to play, and a 10-game win streak on the line.

Southeastern continues to improve their team batting average, moving to a team .319. David Castillo and Josh Smith co-lead the Fire with a .364 batting average, helped by a huge week from Smith, where he hit .571 homering four times, including two go-ahead home runs against the Bobcats. Christopher Munoz comes into this week looking to extend his season-best and team-best 11-game hit streak.

The Fire hold a 2.92 ERA on the mound, and remain dominant in the strikeout fashion, sending 536 players to the dugout via the strikeout, and holding their opponents to a .192 batting average against. Robb Adams comes into the weekend with a 2.42 ERA, and one strikeout away from 300 career K's in a Southeastern uniform.

Looking at the Seahawks, they come into the final week 28-16 (8-12 SUN), tied for fourth in the Sun standings with Warner University. Keiser is coming off of a 3-1 series win over Ave Maria, and is looking at a team .321 average, led by Jhamante Woods, who hits .389 with 52 RBIs, just one shy of the team best.

The history between the Fire and Seahawks date back to 2004, with the two teams meeting 54 times since. Southeastern holds a two game edge over Keiser, with a 28-26 record. The Fire have also won the last six contests versus the Seahawks.

First pitch of the four game set will start this Thursday at 2 p.m.
