LAKE WALES, Fla.—Southeastern scored three goals in the first 37 minutes of its Sun Conference game against Warner on Saturday night.
The Fire came away with a 3-0 win over the Royals behind 21 shots with 16 coming in the first half.
Viktoria Lederer scored her second goal of the season in the eighth minute of play when
Katie Carnes won the ball back in the midfield and slid it ahead to the right post to Lederer who shot back to the left post to make it 1-0.
Ariadna Lozano gave Southeastern (3-2-1, 3-0-1 SUN) a 2-0 lead in the 33rd minute of play when she took a long pass from the midfield down the left sideline and ripped it into the back of the net for her first goal of the season.
Makayla Peddycoart scored her first goal of the season in the 37th minute, hammering a shot from 40-yards out into the upper ninety.
Warner (3-2-1, 0-2-1 SUN) was held to five shots on goal, all saved by
Micaela Owen for her fourth shutout of the season.
The Fire will return to action on Wednesday at home against Florida Memorial at 7 p.m.
