NEW ORLEANS—The 2023 NAIA Men's Indoor Track and Field National Champions found success outside of competition this year and were honored for hitting high standards in the classroom as well as the track.
The Fire men were selected as the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association National Scholar Team of the Year for NAIA indoor track.
SEU posted a team GPA of 3.0134 along with winning the indoor title.
Additionally, four student-athletes were named All-Academic by the USTFCCCA by posting a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and achieved an automatic qualifying mark for indoor or outdoor nationals.
Keishon Franklin,

Kyle Manuel, and
Joseph Taylor were all selected for this honor.
