LAKE WALES, Fla- Volleyball is back in the win column after a 3-0 sweep on the road against the Warner University Royals. Fighting from the start, the Fire battled multiple early deficits early in the contest, but ultimately came out on top, moving to 18-4 on the year.
It was an all-around team effort that helped the Fire prevail, as they outscored Warner in kills, blocks, and digs.
Emilia Harding led the game with nine kills on the night, moving her to 181 kills on the season.
Alexandra Postlethwaite provided the biggest helping hand with 27 assists, and a team leading 542 assists this season.
Cambry Pope was also valuable to the Fire tonight, recording eight kills, a pair of aces and four blocks.
Southeastern dominated the first set, winning by their largest margin of the night 25-15. They outscored the Royals in kills 12-5, as well as out blocking them in the first set.
The second set saw five lead changes, as the Fire fought through nine total errors. The Fire came back from a late 22-21 deficit, going on a 4-0 run to close out the second set, with kills from Harding and Pope.
The final set had the Fire down four points multiple times, their largest deficit of the night. It took all the resilience from the Fire to make the comeback, taking their first lead of the set on their 15th point.
Southeastern will play next at home on October 28th, versus the Keiser University Seahawks. Game starts at 2 P.M.
