LAKELAND, Fla.- Southeastern women's soccer edged out Webber International tonight with a 2-1 score, moving to 9-4-1 overall and 9-2-1 in Sun Conference play.
The Warriors held the momentum for a majority of the first half, outshooting the Fire 5-4 with a goal in the 18th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
In the 39th minute, Danniane Arboleda tied the contest with her first goal of the season after a long run up the sideline and an unassisted goal.
The Fire offense came out of the locker room differently, outshooting the Warriors 6-1 in the second half including an Ariadna Lozano goal in the 51st minute to take the 2-1 lead. After a loose ball drew the Warrior keeper out of the goal, Lozano won the loose ball battle and turned it into the eventual game-winning goal.
Micaela Owen concluded the contest with three saves.
The No. 12 ranked Fire will begin their final week of the regular season next week as they head to Florida Memorial for a 1 p.m. contest.
