THOMASVILLE, Ga.- The Southeastern University Fire continued their hot streak tonight, extending the streak to four consecutive wins after a 67-54 Sun Conference victory over Thomas University on the road.

The Fire (10-10, 7-3 SUN) shot a collective 45% from the field and 40% from distance, connecting on 10 three-point shots to secure the victory.
Emilia Sexton was efficient in every way, tallying a team-high 18 points while securing eight assists, five rebounds, and two steals to aid in the Fire victory.

Kiki Britzmann concluded the contest with 16 points and six rebounds while
Josselin Geer led the team in rebounds with seven.

The Fire concluded the first quarter with a 19-15 cushion behind five points each from Sexton and
Gabby Suarez. The offense ignited in the second quarter as the Fire would shoot 42% from the field and 60% from three-point range, going 3-5 from distance. Sexton concluded the first 20 minutes of play with eight points, five assists, and two steals.

Out of the locker room, the Fire connected on three consecutive three-point shots to take a commanding 44-22 lead with 8:17 remaining in the third. Britzmann would go on to score six points in the remainder of the quarter to give the Fire a 57-34 lead heading into the final 10 minutes.

Despite being outscored 20-10 in the final quarter, the Fire managed to fend off the Night Hawks for the remainder of the contest to claim the conference win.

Southeastern will next take on the College of Coastal Georgia on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Brunswick.
