CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.—Southeastern scored three goals in the second 45 minutes to come away with its second Top 25 win of the season on Saturday.
A dominant offensive effort helped the Fire outshoot the 24
th-ranked Tigers 8-2 and come away with a 4-1 victory to improve to 5-1-1 on the year.
The Fire held a 1-0 lead at halftime thanks to
Mashell Rodriguez's second goal in as many games coming in the 39
th minute of play, finishing a pass from
Katie Carnes.
Karissa King made it 2-0 in the 59
th minute of play, scoring on a pass from
Ramsey Watkins, who also assisted on
Mason Schilling's goal in the 84
th minute to make it 3-0.
Just 73 seconds later, Campbellsville got on the board but the Fire answered in the 87
th minute on
Madelyn Davidson's first goal of the season.
The Fire will host Georgia Gwinnett on Thursday at 7 p.m. for their final non-conference contest of the season.
