BOURBONNAIS, Ill.—Two first half goals in just over 11 minutes stood up in Southeastern's 2-0 season-opening win at Olivet Nazarene Wednesday night.

Naira Lopez finished a cross by
Hannah Matthews into the back of the net on the left wing in the 12
th minute of the game, then hammered a ball from 30 yards out into the back of the net in the 23
rd minute.
The Fire controlled possession throughout the first half and got a stifling effort from its back line on defense.
Olivet Nazarene had its best opportunity in the 70
th minute when a shot headed towards the goal line, but
Micaela Owen dove back toward the goal to cover the ball. Owen finished with five saves.
Southeastern will take on Trinity Christian on Saturday to close out their trip.
