MOBILE, Ala.—The Southeastern men's tennis season came to a close with a 4-1 loss to No. 4 Indiana Wesleyan in the second round of the NAIA National Championship.
Southeastern dropped the doubles point with 6-2 losses at Lines 2 and 3. At Line 1,
Roy Stepanov and
Federico Barbon were tied 5-5 with Carrizo and Spovieri.
The Wildcats picked up singles wins at No. 1, then No. 4, followed by 5 and 2 to clinch the match.
In the unfinished matches,
Federico Barbon lost the first set in a tiebreaker 7-4 and was leading the second 6-5 in his No. 3 Singles match. At Line 6, Theo Prieswerk had forced a third set with a 6-2 win, but was trailing it 3-0.
The Fire finished with a 14-7 overall record.
