Adams and Guadalupe Claim SUN Weekly Honors

LAKELAND, Fla.- After sweeping the three game Sun Conference series against the No. 7 ranked St. Thomas University this weekend, the top ranked Southeastern University have swept the Sun Conference weekly awards with Robb Adams claiming Pitcher of the Week and Abdel Guadalupe being named Player of the Week.
 
In game one of the series, Adams kept his nation leading .25 ERA in tact after tossing his fourth shutout and complete game with 12 strikeouts and five hits allowed.
 
The junior now ranks first nationally in ERA, shutouts, complete games, innings pitched (72), strikeouts (85), and wins (11) and comes in at second in strikeouts per game with 10.63.
 
Guadalupe ended the weekend going 6-11 at the plate (.545) with three runs scored, three RBI's, three doubles, and two home runs.
 
Guadalupe now leads the NAIA in home runs with 14 and ranks second in runs at 51 and third nationally in both batting average (.439) and on base percentage (.525).
 
The Fire will next travel to West Palm Beach, Fla. for a weekend SUN series against Keiser University.
