Baseball Heads to Webber for Fourth SUN Series

LAKELAND, Fla. - The No. 1 Southeastern University Fire baseball return home to resume Sun Conference play in this weekend's series against the No. 13 Webber International Warriors.
 
GAMES:
No. 1 Southeastern University Fire (32-1, 9-0 SUN) vs. Webber International Warriors (29-8, 5-4 SUN) 
 
Friday: 6:00 p.m. 
Saturday: 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
 
FIRE FOCUS:
-Fire will look to continue their winning streak having won their last six games. The Fire are coming off a three-game series sweep of Sun Conference opponent No. 18 Warner University by scores of 14-5, 14-0, and 6-1 to move their SUN record to 9-0.
 
-The Fire are averaging 10.4 runs scored and 11.8 hits per game. 
 
-On the mound, the Fire pitching staff has posted a 2.53 Earned Run Average with 368 strikeouts in 245 innings pitched. Opposing bats are hitting .220 off Fire pitchers this season.

-The Warriors ended a four-game losing streak with a 13-10 win over Ave Maria on Tuesday.
 
-The Warriors have recorded a .292 team average and 6.8 runs per contest behind 75 doubles and 27 home runs and are coming off dropping all three games to No. 24 Keiser University by scores of 7-5, 3-2, and 7-1.
 
-Kenny Rodriguez is the top bat in the lineup with a .421 average and .802 slugging percentage. Rodriguez has 12 doubles and 10 home runs with 54 RBIs.
