HARDEEVILLE, S.C.--Southeastern won its second Sun Conference men's cross country championship in the last three years this morning with a strong showing at Jasper Park.
The Fire had their top six runners earn All-Sun Conference honors and had its top seven all inside the Top 15 to post a team score of 32 to beat SCAD-Savannah by 13 points.
John Perez-Dunn won his second consecutive SUN title in a time of 24:32.
"It was a great race and a great effort," said Perez-Dunn. "I'm so proud of all of our guys because we won as a team and I want to thank all of our families and supporters that have helped us get to this point."
Joining Perez-Dunn on the all-conference first-team were Joshua Shields in third in 25:12, and David Milburn in seventh in 25:26.
Second-team honors went to Jonathan Fitzgerald in eighth place in a time of 25:29, Nathan Evans in 13
th in 25:55, and Jonathan Dinkins in 14
th in 26:00.
Jordan Heirholzer was 15
th in a time of 26:10.
The Fire earned an automatic trip to the NAIA Cross Country National Championship in Tallahassee on November 18
th.
