All-Around Effort from Men's Hoops Results in Lopsided SUN Victory

LAKELAND, Fla.- With a dominating 93-67 victory over Sun Conference opponent, Coastal Georgia, the Southeastern men's basketball team advanced to 3-2 on the year and 1-1 in SUN play.
 
Five different individuals concluded the night with double digit points with Reggie Mesidor and Mykhalio Yagodin leading the way with 18 each. Both players found success in different areas with Yagodin missing just five of his 16 attempts on the night and Mesidor converting eight of 10 free throw attempts and going 4-7 from mid-range.
 
Jalen Mull concluded the first half with a team-leading 13 points while Sean Shore's eight rebounds led the defense. The Fire shot an impressive 52% from the field and 40% from three-point range in the first 20 minutes to take a 45-33 lead into the locker room.
 
Yagodin took over the offense in the second half, going 5-6 from the field and 3-4 from distance for 13 points. Southeastern built on their first half momentum with a 57.1 field goal percentage and 44.4 three-point percentage to conclude the 93-67 victory.
 
Shore tallied another double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds while Mull's seven assists led the team.
 
The Fire will be back in action on Saturday at 4 p.m. against Thomas University in The Furnace.
