LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern came out on top in a defensive struggle Thursday night, winning 2-0 to improve to 4-1-1 in Sun Conference play and 10-2-2 overall.
Despite 11 shots with five on goal in the first half, the Fire were unable to dent the scoreboard against the Royals (4-6-4, 1-3-1 SUN) but also limited Warner's ability to counter attack.

Chanel Garcia took a 30-yard shot which hit off the bottom of the crossbar and bounced into the goal to give the Fire a 1-0 advantage. It was Garcia's second goal of the season.

Hanna Ryberg picked up her second goal of the season by sneaking a
Mason Schilling cross inside the far post.
The Fire held the Royals without a shot in the contest and posted 22 of their own with 12 on goal.
Southeastern will be back in action on Saturday at 7 p.m. against No. 12 SCAD Savannah.
