WILLIAMSBURG, Ky.- The Southeastern University football team is looking to string together back-to-back wins on the season after defeating the Thomas More University Saints at home last Saturday 20-14. The Fire are in Williamsburg, Kentucky today for a primetime matchup at the RV University of the Cumberlands Patriots.

- This marks just the second meeting all-time between Southeastern and Cumberlands. The Patriots edged the Fire on Victory field in Southeastern's 2018 season-opener 27-26.

- Senior defensive lineman Isiah Thornton is the only active Fire player today to have recorded a tackle versus the Patriots in 2018.
THE PATRIOTS:
- Cumberlands has looked dominant in its first two contests of the season, defeating Kentucky Christian 58-7 at home to open the season, and breezing past fellow Sun Division team Florida Memorial 56-12 in Miami Gardens this past weekend.
- Through their first two outings, the Patriots' offense has averaged an astonishing 499.5 yards of offense per game, including 307 yards per contest rushing.
- Defensively, UC has only conceded 244.5 yards of offense per game, including just 1.9 yards per rush attempt and 4.96 yards per pass completion.
- Sophomore quarterback Ben Nixon has been a phenom for Cumberlands through two games, completing 25 of 36 passes for 295 yards, seven touchdowns, no interceptions, and an efficiency rating of 202.44. Additionally, Nixon is the team's leading rusher, averaging 11.1 yards per carry.
- Junior linebacker Tae Hammond is a player to watch for the Patriots on the defensive side of the ball, tied for the team lead in tackles at 11, including two tackles for loss.
