Lakeland, Fla.- The No. 2 ranked Southeastern University baseball team will take on the Florida Memorial Lions this week in a three game weekend series starting with one game on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and a doubleheader on Saturday at 12 and 3 p.m.

The Fire currently hold a record of 34-4 on the season and a Sun Conference record of 12-3 and are coming off of a series win against the University of South Carolina Beaufort after taking two of three from the Sand Sharks including a 9-8 extra inning loss.

Graduate infielder
Nick Bottari has been an offensive powerhouse this season as he ranks number three in the nation in total runs scored with 57 and number four nationally in home runs with 17 while holding a .426 batting average.
Pedro Castellano has been the clutch bat in the lineup and has recorded a team high 58 RBI's which ranks second nationally.

On the mound,
Christian Camacho has been the ace arm with a perfect 7-0 record on the season. He holds a current ERA of 3.08 with 74 strikeouts while allowing only 22 earned runs through 64.1 innings pitched.
Drew Gillespie has also proven his dominance through 55.1 innings of work as he has recorded 72 strikeouts and 11 earned runs while posting a 1.79 ERA.

The Lions come into the series with a record of 13-20 and 6-15 in conference play and are coming off of a series loss to Warner University. Luis Rivera has been one of the best bats in the lineup for the Lions with a .319 average, four doubles, and eight RBI's. Yunior Sanchez leads the Lions in RBI's with 20 and a .375 slugging percentage. Rafael Fernandez leads the pitching staff with 56 innings pitched and a 4-2 record. Fernandez has recorded 44 and given up 33 earned runs.

The Fire and the Lions have yet to meet up this season but the Fire will look to add to their lifetime record of 32-8 over the Lions.
