BABSON Park, Fla. – The No. 23 Southeastern University softball team never found their rhythm offensively as they were shutout in both games of their doubleheader against Webber International.
The dropped game one 1-0 and followed it up with a 2-0 loss in game two.
SEU mustered only five hits on the day with
Lauren Watters picking up two hits while
Kaley Sarasty,
Madison Williams, and
Erica Stahl each collected a hit of their own.
Southeastern received solid outings from both of their starters on the day.
Autumn Hunter completed six innings and gave up the one run, allowed four hits, and struck out two batters.
Payton Thomas got into some trouble to start game two as she allowed two runs in the bottom of the first but settled in the remainder of the game. She finished with six innings pitched, allowing six hits while recording one strikeout.
The Fire (22-11) have a few days to prepare for another Sun Conference doubleheader as they host Keiser University with game one scheduled to start at 2:00 pm.
