LAKELAND, Fla. – The No. 2 Southeastern University baseball team split their doubleheader today against No. 19 Freed-Hardeman in what turned out to be two different games for the Fire.
After dropping the first game 8-4 to the Lions, the Fire turned it around offensively to win game two 11-4.

Southeastern put a comeback bid together in the eighth when

Thomas Broyles and
Pedro Castellano followed that up with a two-RBI single.
Bottari,
Anthony Carrera, and Onstott all recorded multi-hit games in the first of two today against FHU.
GAME TWO:
Southeastern took another early lead in game two as
Carter Bridge led off the bottom of the first with a home run and Onstott came around to score on a wild pitch from Freed-Hardeman.
With a 3-0 lead in the third inning, Bryce Mulchahy allowed a three-run home run that tied the game after previously working his way out of multiple bases-loaded jams.
He was backed by his offense that went on to score eight unanswered runs over the next four innings, including a five-run sixth inning that was highlighted by a grand slam from
Pedro Castellano.
Al Pesto relieved Mulcahy and tossed three scoreless innings, retiring every batter he faced while picking up four strikeouts.
