LAKE WALES, Fla.—Four extra-base hits combined with a shutout on the hill gave the Southeastern University baseball team a 12-0 win in eight innings over Warner in the first of a three-game Sun Conference series.
Drew Gillespie threw seven shutout innings, striking out nine. The senior transfer from New Mexico didn't allow a hit until the fifth inning with a one-out double to right.
The offense did its part as well with

Colton Onstott and a bases-loaded groundout in the second to score
Carter Bridge.
Pedro Castellano drove in Marcano and Anthony Carerra with a double to right in the fourth and was followed by a
Nick Bottari single to score Castellano.
The Fire didn't score again until the seventh on a
Sam Faith RBI single up the middle, followed by a two-run single by Bridge.
Southeastern scored four in the eighth with a solo homer to right by Onstott and a two-run triple to right field by
Thomas Broyles.
Luis Cabrera capped off the scoring with a single to short to bring in Broyles.
Onstott, Castellano, Bottari, Broyles, and Bridge all had two hits each.
The series resumes on Saturday with a doubleheader starting at noon.
