Lakeland, Fla.- Southeastern University dropped to a record of 1-4 on the season after a five set battle with the College of Coastal Georgia Mariners.
After dropping the first two sets by a score of 20-25 and 21-25, the Fire fought back hard to take the next set 25-18. Down 2 sets to 1, Southeastern put together an impressive fourth set collecting 17 kills as a whole, securing the fourth set victory with a score of 25-21. After tying the match at two apiece and forcing a tiebreaking fifth match, the Fire were unable to beat the Mariners in the race to 15 points, dropping the fifth set 14-16.

Maggie Seagren led the Fire with a season high 17 kills and also contributed to the offensive side with 11 digs.
Emily Eurice was also a tremendous boost to the Fire offense putting up a season high 41 assists.
Emily Boehlein also contributed with 14 kills and 15 digs of her own and
Jordyn Stiger also had a season high 10 kills.

The Fire will see the court next a week from today on September 30
th when they take on Warner University at home at 7 p.m.
