LAKELAND, Fla.—The Southeastern University men's tennis team took down Aquinas by the count of 4-0 in a match played to decision, improving to 7-4 on the year.
Southeastern went 3-0 in doubles play to secure the point to start with
Felipe Barbosa &
Enrique Martinez winning 6-2 at the top spot in their first match together.
Alexandre D'aboville and
Timothy Nacca won 6-4 at Line 2, and
Santiago Haas and
Alec Lichter were a 6-3 winner at Line 3.
In singles play, Omar Fiorenzto scored a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 5 to pick up the second point and his seventh win of the season, then Martinez won at No. 4 by the score of 6-0, 6-1. Barbosa's win at Line 3 6-2, 6-0 secured the match.
The Fire return to action tomorrow against Bluefield State.
