LAKELAND, Fla.—The Fire men's tennis team lost a closely contested match to Bluefield State by the count of 5-2.
Southeastern lost the doubles point, but won the match at Line 1 with
Felipe Barbosa and
Enrique Martinez winning 6-4. BSC won No. 2 and No. 3 Doubles by the score of 6-4 to take the point.
In singles play,
Omar Fiorenzato got the Fire on the board with a three-set win at No. 5, but SEU was unable to get any closer.
Alec Lichter was a winner at Line 6 in straight sets, but the match had already been secured.
The Fire return to action Thursday against Hillsdale College.
