Lakeland, Fla.- The Southeastern University men's soccer team will compete in two Sun Conference matchups this week as they take on the St. Thomas University Bobcats and the Ave Maria Gyrenes.

Coming off of a 1-0 overtime victory over Warner University, the Fire are currently 7-3 on the season with a conference record of 4-3.
Colin Horn netted his fourth goal of the season in the 96
th minute of the match off of a
Grayson Wilkes assist to give the Fire the 1-0 victory over the Royals.

The week for the Fire begins on Wednesday, October 28
th at 6 p.m. in Lakeland, Fla. as they take on the Bobcats of St. Thomas University. History between the Fire and the St. Thomas University Bobcats falls in favor of the Bobcats with a 3-1 record over the Fire. These two teams last met earlier this season on September 30
th when the Bobcats took a 2-1 victory.
Skylar Funk recorded his third goal of the season against the Bobcats off of an assist by
Jack Miller to open up the match in the 12
th minute. The Bobcats answered back in the 22
nd minute tying the match at one a piece going into halftime. In the 82
nd minute the Bobcats found the back of the net again to secure the 2-1 victory. Goalkeeper
Carlos Curado finished the night with five saves on 12 shots.

The Bobcats are currently 8-2 (7-1 TSC) and hold a three game win streak. They outscore their opponents 30 goals to 10 with 76 shots on goal this season. The Bobcats are led by Fernando Arenzo who has recorded eight goals on the season.

The Fire will then travel to Ave Maria, Fla. on Saturday, October 31
st for an 11 a.m. matchup against the Ave Maria Gyrenes. The Fire have been historically successful against the Gyrenes with an 11-1 overall record including the 2-0 victory earlier this season.
Colin Horn found the back of the net off of a
Julian Hall assist in the 54
th minute to claim his third goal of the season. Hall then extended the Fire lead to two in the 89
th minute for his fourth goal of the season.

The Gyrenes currently hold a record of 2-6 with a conference record of 1-5. Opponents outscore the Gyrenes 21-10 with 2.63 shots per game with the Gyrenes getting off only 1.25 goals per game.
