LEWISTON, IDAHO- After fending off elimination from the 2019 Avista-NAIA World Series with a 10-2 handling of the seventh-seeded Freed Hardeman University Lions, the third seeded Southeastern University Fire looks to continue their run in Idaho with another elimination contest. SEU takes on the eighth-seeded Indiana Tech Warriors on Monday at 2:30 p.m. eastern at Harris Field.

FIRE FOCUS:
- Southeastern is coming off a successful day at the plate. Versus Freed-Hardeman, the Fire lineup combined for a postseason single-game program record 17 hits. Five different SEU bats posted multi-hit games.
- As a team, SEU is hitting .324 through its first two contests in Lewiston, which ranks third in the field of eight remaining squads.
- Senior outfielder Mike Taylor Jr. his hitting a team-best .556 (5-9) in the World Series, due largely to his dynamic 4-5 day at the plate versus FHU, which tied his single-game career-high mark for hits.
- Senior first baseman Noah Strohl is not far behind Taylor Jr., hitting .500 (4-8) thus far in the series.
- The Fire pitching staff has picked up where they left off in the Opening Round, putting up numbers that have given SEU a chance to compete. SEU arms have compiled a 2.00 Earned Run Average and opponents are hitting just .143 versus Fire pitchers, a number that leads the field in Lewiston.
ALL-TIME VERSUS INDIANA TECH:
- This will mark just the fourth meeting all-time between the Fire and the Warriors, with the most recent coming on March 19, 2014.
- Southeastern has won each of the previous three encounters with Indiana Tech, outscoring the Warriors 28-6 in those games.
- Southeastern has won 26-straight games versus teams from the state of Indiana. The last time an SEU team lost to a squad from The Hoosier State was on February 21, 2009 against Taylor University.
THE WARRIORS:
- After a thrilling 3-2 10-inning victory over ninth-seeded Bellevue in the first round, Indiana Tech was sent to the loser's bracket after an 11-3 defeat at the hands of top-seeded Tennessee Wesleyan Saturday afternoon.
- The Warriors are hitting .280 (21-75) as a team through their first two games at Harris Field.
- At the plate, redshirt senior catcher Glen McClain has continued to be a threat for Indiana Tech, hitting .444 with two RBIs and a home run. On the season, McClain is slashing a .431 line with 88 hits, 19 doubles, 18 homers, and 56 RBIs, all team-leading marks.
- On the mound, the Warriors have posted a 5.50 team ERA and allowed opposing bats to hit .304 against them in the World Series.
- The Fire will likely see a hot arm on the mound in redshirt junior righty Seth Sorenson. Over his last four starts, Sorenson is 4-0 with a 1.32 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 27.2 innings pitched.
