LAKELAND, Fla.— The Southeastern baseball team has only lost four times this season, with one of those losses coming in game one of a doubleheader to Florida National last week. The Fire will take on the Conquistadors in another two-game slate on Tuesday before putting their undefeated conference record on the line against Florida Memorial this weekend.
GAMES 39-40:
#1 Southeastern (34-4) vs. Florida National (9-20)

The Fire:
- Southeastern has won each of its last four games, outscoring opponents 50-7 during the span.
- The Fire lead the country in seven offensive categories including hits per game (12.1), home runs per game (1.8) and runs per game (10.6). Since starting the season 2-2, SEU has recorded at least 10 runs in 21 competitions, averaging 11.3 runs per contest on 12.5 hits per competition.
- Dominic Anagnos, who leads the team in both batting average (.436) and walks (27), has reached base in every game this season. The senior ranks 22nd in the nation in hits with 51 and has scored 40 runs, which ranks him 23rd in the NAIA.
The Conquistadors:
- Florida National snapped SEU's 15-game win streak with a victory just seven days ago. The 9-20 Conquistadors have notched wins over two Sun Conference teams, beating Florida Memorial 12-0 earlier this season.
- David Sarmento leads FNU with 20 hits. The center fielder has reached base safely in the last 13 competitions, while registering a team-high eight doubles and a .345 batting average.
- The Fire and the Conquistadors split their doubleheader meeting last week. FNU collected a 7-4 win in the opening contest before Southeastern responded with a 23-1 victory in game two. Including the three meetings last year, SEU owns a 4-1 record all-time over the second-year program.

The Lions:
- Florida Memorial comes into its series with Southeastern after winning three of its past five league contests. The Lions took two of three from Ave Maria before knocking off Keiser by a score of 3-1.
- FMU ranks tenth in the nation in total hits with 384, averaging just over 10 hits per contest (19th in the NAIA). The team is also seventh in total doubles (79) and ranks 18th in doubles per game (2.1).
- Jouseph Renovales captains the Lions' offense with 58 hits, which is good enough to rank sixth in the nation. His 14 doubles (8th), four triples (12th) and .436 batting average (19th) also rank nationally. The left fielder has hits in all but four matchups this year.
- The last time the two teams met, the Lions knocked the Fire out of the Sun Conference Tournament in 2018 with a 7-2 triumph.
