LAKELAND, Fla. – The Southeastern men's tennis team earned back-to-back sweeps against opponents this week, beating Aquinas 6-0 yesterday and Missouri Baptist 9-0 in this afternoon's matches.
The Fire went undefeated in doubles play. At No. 1 doubles,
Lucca Marcheschi and
Felipe Barbosa earned the first victory for the Fire beating MBU's best competition 8-5.

Enrique Martinez defeated their opponents 8-4 at No. 2 doubles.
Santiago Haas and
Pedro Bahnuik picked up a win by forfeit at No. 3 doubles.
Southeastern continued their momentum in singles play, solidifying their victory with an undefeated record.
Junior, Barbosa defeated Spartans best at No. 1 singles in two sets (6-4, 6-3). Brazilian-native, Haas earned another victory for the Fire winning 7-5 in the first set and 6-3 in the second set.
At No. 3 singles, Martinez was successful against Missouri Baptist foe, winning 8-6 in an 8-point game pro set.
Seniors, Pires and Bahnuik at No. 4 (6-3, 6-3) and No. 5 (6-4, 6-4) singles defeated their opponents in two sets as well.
To end the afternoon, the Fire earned their last victory by forfeit at No. 6 singles.
Southeastern return to the courts on Friday the 15
th as they go on the road to USTA National Campus – Orlando (Fla.) to take on RV Southwestern College (Kan.). The matches are set to begin at 11:30 a.m.
