Fire Open Sun Conference Play at Home Versus Warriors

No. 1 Southeastern Continues Strenuous Start to 2019 Schedule by Hosting No. 18 Webber International

LAKELAND, Fla. – The No. 1 Southeastern University baseball team began their quest to repeat as NAIA-Avista World Series Champions with a tough slate of action. After splitting a mid-week non-conference doubleheader versus Ave Maria, the Fire earned a monumental non-conference series win on the road versus No. 3 Georgia Gwinnett, taking two of three from the Grizzlies. The Fire gritted out an 8-5 victory in an 11-inning finale versus GGC to cement the series victory. SEU treks forward in its tough slate of contests to open the 2019 season with the team's Sun Conference opening series versus the No. 18 Webber International University Warriors this weekend at Ted A. Broer Stadium. This also marks the 2019 home-opener for the Fire.
