Women's Soccer wins their Ninth Shutout Victory

Fire beat SCAD 6-0

    Once again, the Fire have outplayed their enemies and won by shutout for the ninth time this season in their match against SCAD.

 

    The Fire commanded the ball for the majority of play, with a total of 27 shots during match. Forward Uchenna Kanu scored first in the sixth minute off an assist from Megan Penhaligon. Kanu scored three more times during the match; in minute 38 off a corner kick by Gabriella Didio, in minute 55 from a rebound shot by Aisha Solorzano, and in minute 61, assisted by Bania Duran. Lynsey Kelly scored the second goal for Southeastern at 32:50. The Fire's final goal was put into the net by Solorzano, with Didio on the assist with 25 minutes left to play.

 

    The Fire defense was steadfast and held their opponents to only five shots over the course of the match. Keepers Holly Eddins and Maddy Miller each had one save at the end of the night.

 

    The Fire will play USC Beaufort at home on the 20th. Game time is 5 PM.
